Hampton, NH (September 2011) - C3I, Inc. working with IMS, Inc of Brunswick, Maine has been tasked with the design and potential production of the Integrated Ship Management System (ISMS©) for IMS’ new Green technology super-yacht.
The new Integrated Ship Management System (ISMS©) technology being developed by IMS for commercial marine markets, employs C3I’s ACCS® technology as the core of its communication and control network.
ISMS© is designed to take vessel management to a new level of integration, reliablity and redundancy, by combining all vessel operational tasks into a Human System Integrated (HSI) command and control station for marine vessels, that more closely resembles the cockpit of an aircraft than the bridge of a ship. With its fully distributed, redundant and fault tolerant command and control architecture, ACCS® provides ISMS© the ability to provide multiple shipboard operating stations at a fraction of the price of a single standard bridge installation. This combined with the ability to provide a citadel control station in the event of abnormal at sea incidents, and new highly effective and difficult to counter vessel self defense systems, useful during abnormal at sea events such as piracy and other life threatening conditions, ACCS® and ISMS© provides the marine vessel operator an unprecendented level of control and confidence at sea.
Developed for military marine applications, ACCS provides a robust, miltary grade command and control system architecture to the marine industry that is difficult to beat.
